Not only is the owner not fit to be in charge but she also does not know nor understand how to treat other human beings in a respectful and kind matter. She talks behind employees backs to other employees and does not respect literally ANY of her employees in the slightest. I worked here for almost a year and a half and in that time this owner was able to strip every last bit of confidence I had in myself doing hair and as a person. The owner who makes you call her your “leader” (which on a side note is super creepy and cult-ish) dictates literally your every move and no matter what you do it will never be good enough for her. While on the outside this salon looks like an amazing place to work, once you enter those doors and are under the control of the owner you will be quick to learn this salon is a far cry from a happy and relaxing environment. Doesn’t follow guidelines, as she still will take 2 guests at a time which is a violation. All employees dread working with her which creates a hostile environment. She will talk about her employees behind their back to other employees. She doesn’t implement covid safety, as there has been a nurse in the salon who told the designer she had been in contact with covid19 and still received service. She will question your integrity if calling out sick, asking if your actually sick. Training is mostly from employees whom don’t know how to do everything because they weren’t trained. She will constantly pull you out to have a talk with her. This owner does not allow for flexible hours as she will force you to work on a day off, if needed even when you are unable to work. She will disrespect you and question you for anything.

Owner(Jennifer) will reprimand you and will for the rest of your employment if you make a tiny mistake. Hard job to keep when being put down and micromanaged the whole time. Also, I know you're probably reading this Jen, so hi please get some help and take responsibility for how horrible you treat people. Don't waste your time she will NEVER change. I tried to give her a chance and stay out of her way but she always had something to complain about.

She needs to work on her leadership and take responsibility for her actions and how she causes people to feel. She can never keep employees for very long and her excuse is that "people grow and everything is temporary" when really she can't admit it is her fault that people are temporary there. She wants everything to be her way or no way and makes everyone feel less than her.

She tries to act like she is so sweet and cares about people but behind closed doors, she is rude and strict. Her mood swings are all over the place and all she talks about is teamwork but the majority of her workers don't like her because she is so rude. Many employees have walked out on her because she is so temperamental. Many people have tried to tell her she needs to work on how she "leads" but she doesn't listen and will never change. When I was there she had 5+ people QUIT IN ONE MONTH. She would constantly belittle me as well as other coworkers when we did the smallest things wrong expecting us to know how to do it with little to no training. Jen is the worst boss I have ever had, she is so rude and passive-aggressive.
